My Story

I grew up in a double-wide trailer, was the first in my family to finish college, gave back to my country through the Teach for America program, and earned my law degree from Duke because the merit system opened doors others wanted to keep shut. After graduation I saw how that same system can be twisted against the people who keep our agencies running. Fighting back became my mission.

But victories in court aren’t enough if clients remain exhausted and anxious. Mindfulness turned out to be the missing piece, so I wrote Finding Peace at Work and launched The Mindful Workplace Podcast to merge legal strategy with mental resilience.
