Quick Favor? Help Us Find Our Next Advocate for Federal Employees
Hi there,
I don’t usually send an extra email like this, but I’m hoping you’ll do me a small favor that could make a big difference for someone in your network and for us.
Southworth PC is growing, and we’re hiring another attorney to help represent federal employees and applicants nationwide. Our positions are remote and we can hire nationwide. Many of our lawyers are former feds themselves—former agency counsel, former Assistant U.S. Attorneys, and attorneys who have advised management in high-stakes situations. That mix is a big part of why we understand the federal workplace the way we do, and why people trust us when work gets rough.
Right now, we’re looking for a high-growth attorney who is smart, hungry, and humble. Someone who cares deeply about helping federal employees, wants to do meaningful impact work, and is willing to learn our niche and grow with the firm.
We offer competitive compensation with performance-based bonuses, paid time off starting at 21 days a year (plus all federal holidays, plus the full week between Christmas and New Year’s), a 401(k), medical and dental benefits, and a culture where people can show up as their authentic selves. We take the work very seriously—but we try not to take ourselves too seriously.
If you or someone you know might be a fit, here’s what we’re asking:
Please have them email a cover letter and resume to [email protected].
In the cover letter, we’d like them to explain:
- Why they’re interested in this role in particular, and
- Why helping federal employees matters to them.
If this isn’t you, no problem at all—I’m genuinely grateful you’re on this list and that you care enough to stay informed about what’s happening in the federal workforce. But if someone comes to mind—a colleague, former coworker, or friend who you think would thrive doing this kind of work—I’d be really grateful if you’d forward this email to them or make an introduction.
Thank you for reading, and for everything you do as part of the federal community.
Warmly,
Shaun
