Announcement: We're Hiring Remote Federal Employment Attorneys!

Southworth PC is expanding. As a boutique law firm dedicated solely to defending federal employees when agencies violate their rights, we’ve made a strategic choice: while federal agencies force employees back into the office, we’re moving fully remote. By the end of Q3, our entire team will be location-flexible—no forced relocations, no return-to-office mandates. Just smart, high-impact legal work from wherever you think best.

Why This Matters for Federal Employment Law

Thousands of federal employees face discipline, removals, whistleblower retaliation, or discrimination each year. Our mission is clear: help 500 federal employees resolve their employment disputes over the next five years. To meet that goal, we’re looking to bring on one or two additional attorneys passionate about justice and civil rights.

If you’re an attorney with 1–3 or 3–5 years of experience, have litigated before the MSPB, EEOC, or OSC, or have a demonstrated commitment to civil rights and federal employment law, this could be your moment. We’re especially eager to connect with current or former federal employees ready to fight for their colleagues on the other side.

What We Offer

We know that serving clients well requires supporting our team deeply. Southworth PC offers:

  • Competitive pay and bonuses

  • 100% employer-paid health insurance

  • Firm-funded 401(k)

  • Every federal holiday off, plus 20 additional PTO days—use them

  • Fully remote work from anywhere in the United States

  • A diverse, collaborative, and authentic firm culture

We seek attorneys who are smart, hungry, and humble—those who prepare under pressure, think fast, and care deeply about protecting federal employees from unlawful treatment.

Who We’re Looking For

If you:

  • Feel something when you see a federal employee steamrolled by bureaucracy

  • Want to pivot away from agency defense to employee-side advocacy

  • Have experience with MSPB appeals, EEOC complaints, OSC filings, or whistleblower cases

  • Thrive rewriting arguments until they sing

…then you may be a perfect fit.

How to Apply

If you or someone you know is ready to join our mission-driven team:

  1. Email [email protected] with the subject line Interest in Pursuing Justice.

  2. Tell us why federal employees matter to you and how you want to help them.

  3. Attach your tailored resume and cover letter.

Great missions attract great people through great referrals. If someone comes to mind, please share this opportunity with them today.
